Avion Crooks

Avion has been a teacher for over 35 years at the primary school level. She is currently attached to San Fernando Girls' Government School.  She has also served as a Curriculum Facilitator (Dance/Drama) and as an Educational Broadcasting Specialist at the  Schools Broadcasting Unit, both with the Ministry of Education.  In 2017 Avion was asked to serve as Chairman of the Board of Management of the Naparima Bowl, a position she holds to date.  Avion has performed from childhood as a storyteller and actress. She has been a member of the San Fernando Theatre Workshop since 1985 and has been a member of the cast of Talk Tent (with Paul Keens Douglas) since 2014.  She is the mother of Christopher Crooks.  Avion continues to write, perform, present and mentor.
