Literature meets music in lyric-writing. A masterclass from one of the cleverest calypsonians in the business.

Writing for performance, with Nicolette Bethel and Patti-Ann Ali
How do you create plot, character, and narrative tension using only dialogue? Two playwright-directors offer exercises in writing for the stage, radio, and other forms of performance.

How to get published, with Ellah Allfrey, OBE, Shruti Debi, and Johnny Temple
A journal editor, a literary agent, and a publisher explain how the business of contemporary publishing works, and give tips on packaging and selling your manuscript.

If you are interested in attending one of our workshops, workshop please contact us via this page, or by email at info@bocaslitfest.com, or by phone at (868) 625 8328 to verify there is still space available. Upon verification you will be required to pre-pay the registration fee (TT$60 per workshop). This can be done at any branch of Republic Bank Limited (RBL).
A total of $60 per workshop must be deposited to the following account:

Account Location: 9–17 Park Street, Port of Spain, Trinidad
Please complete your deposit slip in duplicate, indicating your name and the workshop(s) for which you are paying. Your copy of the deposit slip should be retained and brought with you to the workshop. Once you have made the payment, please send us a follow-up email or contact us via phone at (868) 625 8328 to provide details of the date and the specific branch of RBL where the payment was made. Once this has been verified, your attendance will be confirmed via email/phone.
Please note that we will accommodate participation on a first-come, first-served basis, and registration without payment will not guarantee your space at the workshop.
