Danielle Y.C. McClean is an author, a translator, an interpreter, and a teacher. She has degrees in French, Spanish, and law. She is passionate about language, mythology, and foreign cultures. Originally from the Caribbean republic of Trinidad and Tobago. She currently live in Tennessee with her husband and two children. The Protectors’ Pledge, third place winner of the 2016 Burt Award for Caribbean Young Adult Literature, is her debut novel.
