Ella Berthoud
Speaker
Ella Berthoud is a bibliotherapist and artist, who began her reading journey aged five on the parcelshelf of a Wollsey 1300. She's been reading ever since, with a book in one hand and a paintbrush in the other — her twin passions are books and art, and she juggles a career in bibliotherapy, writing, and painting. Ella started the bibliotherapy service at The School of Life with Susan Elderkin in 2007, and she has been leading bibliotherapy workshops around the world ever since. She's written The Novel Cure: an A-Z of LIterary Remedies, with Susan Elderkin; The Story Cure: How to Keep Kids Happy, Healthy and Wise, also with Susan Elderkin; 30 Second Literature, The Art of Mindful Reading, and Fiction Prescriptions as solo titles. Ella lived in Trinidad back in the 19802, and is thrilled to be coming back for the NGC Bocas Lit Fest.
