Trinidadian-born writer Ingrid Persaud’s first novel If I Never Went Home was published in 2013, and her second novel Love After Love in 2020. In 2017, her short story The Sweet Sop was the overall winner of the Commonwealth Short Story Prize, and winner of the 2018 BBC national short story award. She studied law at the London School of Economics and was a legal academic before earning degrees in fine art at Goldsmiths College and Central Saint Martins. Her writing has appeared in Granta, Prospect, and Pree magazines. Persaud lives in London and Barbados.
