Nicholas Laughlin is programme director of the NGC Bocas Lit Fest and editor of Caribbean Beat. His book of poems The Strange Years of My Life was published in 2015, and his latest poetry collection Enemy Luck was published by Peepal Tree press in 2019. He has edited a collection of early essays by C.L.R. James, Letters from London (Prospect Press, 2003); a revised and expanded edition of V.S. Naipaul’s family correspondence, Letters Between a Father and Son (Picador, 2009); and the anthology So Many Islands, bringing together new poems, fiction, and non-fiction from small-island countries in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Pacific, and Indian Ocean (Telegram/Peekash Press, 2018).
