Bio

Lorraine Nero is Senior Librarian I and Special Collections Librarian at the University of the West Indies St. Augustine Campus.  She has direct oversight of the rare books, manuscripts and archives held at the Alma Jordan Library. She holds postgraduate qualifications in Cultural Studies, Library Science and Teaching and Learning with Emerging Technologies. She has been an active member in several local and regional organizations including Library Association of Trinidad and Tobago, ACURIL and UNESCO’s Memory of the World Committee for Trinidad and Tobago which is responsible for identifying and recording the documentary heritage of the country.  She has published, conducted workshops and presented on the topic of unique Caribbean resources and their significance for research.
