The Book Network

The Book Network is a free, inclusive resource to keep Caribbean book chat going. A true collaborative effort: we’re teaming up with local and regional book clubs, beloved local writers, independent booksellers and organisations to provide a reading experience focused on community, on a sustainable, energetic debate that revolves around our literature, and our passionate readers. The network provides streamlined services targeted towards creating and maintaining connectivity amongst clubs to:

  • Expose the benefits of ideas and knowledge that exist in local, regional and international literatures
  • Bring readers into more intimate contact with writers to showcase their work, expand their readership and create an avenue for interaction between members and authors
  • Maintain a rich and diverse culture in which different modes of self expression thrive
  • Promote our literary heritage and broaden the definition of culture

Network Members Enjoy:

Bring Your Own Book & Bottle

One of our first initiatives is our regular BYOBB (Bring Your Own Book and Bottle) event – now an online forum for book enthusiasts to chat about our favourite reads and connect in a relaxed atmosphere. We aim to connect Caribbean readers of all genres: building a community around books and book conversation through our virtual and in-person network. The BYOBB happens via Zoom every last Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm. Email marielle@bocaslitfest.com for details on how to join.
