2018 was the third installment of our CineLit the Latin American and Caribbean Literary Film Festival and integral part of the NGC Bocas Lit Fest.
CineLit 2018 celebrated the remarkably rich heritage of both literature and film from Spanish and Portuguese-speaking America, and showcased groundbreaking work by Anglophone filmmakers.
The festival featured a two-week programme of feature films and documentaries, including adaptations of beloved literary classics. Amongst them were award-winning films, and most of them made their T&T debut. 2018 also included a full programme of animated films for children.
The NGC Bocas Lit Fest partnered with the University of the West Indies (UWI) and the embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Spain and Venezuela to host the 2018 CineLit.
