My name is Ray Clarke and I am 19 years of age. All my life I’ve been living in the beautiful rural community of Mayaro. My mother always encouraged me to become the best version of myself. Everything I do is for her. She sacrificed so much just so that I can be where I am today. Today, I’m a cape graduate of Rio Claro West Secondary that aspires to be a cardio thoracic surgeon. My passion for medicine equals to my passion for poetry. Medicine and poetry though oxymoronic in nature has a lot of similarities. Medicine heals and so does poetry. Poetry is an antidote that allow me to share my story. My story can help someone know that they are not alone. No matter what life throws at you, always remember to be the best version of yourself.
