Born and raised in the twin-island republic of Trinidad & Tobago, Aminah Ali, writing as AM . ALI, always had a love for writing from a tender age. She has made an online presence for herself particularly with her poetry via her Instagram handle @aminahwrites. In 2022 she published her debut collection of poems, Lilac Honey, which hit Amazon’s #1 release in Caribbean and Latin America poetry. She has also contributed to international and local anthologies such as By Me Womb, By Me Poetica & Tales of Root, Silk & Bone. She recently ventured into creating her own online publishing house, House Of Lilac Publishing, providing publishing services with a small team with an aim to help local aspiring authors make their book dreams a reality.
