Bruce Cayonne was born in Guyana on 16th October 1967. He migrated to Trinidad in 1979. His Trinidadian father and grandmother were creative people. Hence he grew up in an artistic family. Using a brush came natural to him since childhood in addition to a curious fascination with fonts, which facilitated a seamless transition into painting and making signs. Which he has been doing for over 35 years.
In 2020 he held his debut exhibition at Granderson Lab, and in 2022 participated in the world’s largest art show Documenta 15 in Kassel, Germany as part of Trinidad and Tobago’s Alice Yard team.
