Danielle Y. C. McClean, Trinidad-born, US-based writer, translator and interpreter is the author of Secrets of Oscuros: The Whisperer’s Warning (CaribbeanReads 2022, illustrator: Rachel Moss) winner of the 2022 Bocas Lit Fest Children’s Book Prize. Her debut novel Secrets of Oscuros: The Protectors’ Pledge (CaribbeanReads 2017, illustrator: Lorena Soriano), placed third in the 2016 CODE Burt Award for Caribbean Young Adult Literature.
