Bio

Frank Wynne is a literary translator from French and Spanish. His work has earned him won three major prizes for his translations from the French, including the 2002 IMPAC Prize (for Atomised by Michel Houellebecq), and the 2005 Independent Foreign Fiction Prize and 2008 Scott Moncrieff Prize. He has translated a number of Spanish and Latin American authors, among them including Tomás Eloy Martínez, Tomás González and Arturo Perez-Reverte. He has awarded the Premio Valle Inclán in 2012 for his translation of Miguel Figueras’s Kamchatka and again in 2014 for Alonso Cueto’s The Blue Hour.
