Ingrid Persaud is a Trinidadian-born writer who lives in London. Her debut novel Love After Love was published by Faber in 2020. In 2017, her short story The Sweet Sop won the Commonwealth Short Story Prize, and she was also the winner of the 2018 BBC National Short Story Award. Ingrid taught law, then studied fine art before becoming a writer. Her work has appeared in Granta, Prospect, The Guardian, Nine Dials, National Geographic and Pree magazines.
