Bio

Poet and Reviews Editor at Poetry London, a Ledbury Poetry Critic, and an editor at Magma.  Her debut pamphlet Ripe (ignitionpress, 2020) won a 2021 Somerset Maugham Award and was the Spring 2021 Poetry Book Society’s Pamphlet Choice. She won Second Prize in the 2022 London Magazine Poetry Prize, was winner of the 2019 Vincent Cooper Literary Prize and shortlisted for the 2022 Aesthetica Creative Writing Award, the 2021 Brunel International African Poetry Prize, the 2020 Bridport Prize for Poetry, and the 2019 Oxford Brookes International Poetry Competition.  She is of Jamaican and South African descent and has performed her work widely and also been widely published and athologised.   She is an Obsidian Foundation Fellow and is currently working on her debut poetry collection.
