Bio

Lisa Allen-Agostini is a writer and editor from Trinidad and Tobago. Her books include The Bread the Devil Knead (Myriad, 2021); the young adult novels Home Home (Papillote Press, 2018; Delacourte Press, 2020), a finalist for the CODE Burt Award for Caribbean YA Literature, and The Chalice Project (Macmillan Caribbean, 2008); and the collection of poems Swallowing the Sky (Cane Arrow Press, 2015). She co-edited the short fiction collection Trinidad Noir (Akashic Books, 2008), and voiced the audible.com audiobook version of her story in the collection “Pot Luck”. A journalist, she has worked for all three Trinidad and Tobago national newspapers. She has been awarded as a journalist, fiction writer and poet and her work is widely published.
