Bio

Roslyn Williams-George has been involved in NGO activities for the last twenty-two years, and currently holds the position of Director of the Cashew Gardens Community Council. She believes that each community has the necessary resources it needs to protect the environment, build its human potential, and generate employment opportunities. She utilised the green spaces within the community to pioneer projects such as the Cashew Gardens Homework and Activity Centre, the Community Recycling and Composting programs, the Community Smart Garden, and most recently the Cashew Gardens Community Green Market. This market will showcase green initiatives as well as provide entrepreneurial opportunities for the residents of Cashew Gardens. Roslyn holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Certificate in Advanced Project Management. Her dream is to see Trinidad and Tobago transformed into a zero-waste country, one community at a time.
