Biography

Simone Jacelon is a multidisciplinary artist, author, and Creative Director from Trinidad and Tobago, with roots in Barbados. Her work bridges fine art, storytelling, and design, exploring Caribbean identity, heritage, and imagination. She is the creator of Colour Me Caribbean™, a book series that celebrates the region’s history and culture through art and storytelling. Her broader creative practice spans painting, illustration, and cultural programming, including the development of Caribbean-focused children’s creative experiences.With over two decades leading creative and digital teams, Simone continues to shape work that connects memory, identity, and visual storytelling. Through her books and art, she invites both children and adults to see the Caribbean as a place of depth, creativity, and pride.
