Haiku: “Let the Raindrops fall”; Limerick: “There was a Man”; “My Guilty Pleasure”

Haiku

Let the rain drops fall

Let it wash away all sorrow

Happiness burrowed.

Limerick

There was a man from Peru,

Who dreamt he was eating his shoe

He woke up at midnight

With a terrible fright

And found out it was all true.

Guilty Pleasure

Bright yet sleepy, awake yet sleeping.

Creeping to the kitchen, no need for sneaking.

Filled with hunger, mouth still minty,

Step into the kitchen my plan and smile shining brightly.

Open the cupboard for step 1

Check to see my parents are asleep, I have already won.

Quietly pour it in first and then throw it out

Mission number 1 accomplished, no need to pout.

Milk before cereal is believed to be a crime,

But not if no one knows, no need to rhyme.

Mission number 2 commences the T.V. came on,

Hiding my actions cause it would lead to scorn.

PlayStation came on but made some noise.

Checked my parents’ room, only to continue.

Playing games at night is good enough,

But it’s even better when your breakfast could lead to getting cuffed

No one will ever know, my plans are foolproof

If my ways are exposed for sure I would go “POOF!”
