OCM Bocas non-fiction prize winner Kei Miller discusses his newest collection of poetry

Last year’s OCM Bocas non-fiction prize winner, Kei Miller, discusses his newest poetry collection, The Cartographer Tries to Map a Way to Zion (Carcanet Press, 2014), at a Commonwealth Writers podcast talk that covers the cross-sections in humour and culture through a creative writing lens.

“So The Cartographer Tries to Map a Way to Zion is very political… it ends up being a conversation between a cartographer and a Rastaman, and it’s the very scientific language of cartography meeting the very spiritual language of Rastafari, and what happens when you create that kind of dissonance, what kind of music is created in that.”
