Poets Battle for Big Prize

Two former champions, multiple former finalists and a range of new voices all have their sights on over $80,000 in prizes to be won in the 2018 First Citizens National Poetry Slam.

Out of 150 auditioning poets, 40 have made it to two semi finals. Twenty took part in the first semis on Sunday 11 March and the final twenty will perform on Saturday 17 March at 5pm at Central Bank Auditorium. Their order of performance will be decided on Thursday 15 March at 7pm in a random draw streamed live on the National Poetry Slam Trinidad and Tobago Facebook page.

The Slam Final is on Sunday 29 April at NAPA, the closing event of the NGC Bocas Lit Fest.
