We’re excited to launch The Book Network and a new monthly calendar event at The Writers Centre!
Our Bring Your Own Book and Bottle event aims to connect readers of all genres in a relaxed environment. It’s about building community around books and book conversation, and creating an in-person extension of our virtual Book Network. The format is simple: You bring a book you’re currently reading/have read and share excerpts from it, reading aloud. We then open the floor to your fellow book-lovers.
The Bocas Lit Fest Book Network is a true collaborative effort to keep Caribbean book chat going: we’re teaming up with local and regional book clubs, beloved local writers, and independent booksellers to provide a reading experience focused on community, on a sustainable, energetic debate that revolves around our literature, and our passionate readers. Our first event is on Wednesday 29 January, in collaboration with The Book of Cinz book club. It’s free and open to the public!
And, importantly, you bring a bottle of your preferred drink.
