We’re celebrating Caribbean Literature Day with another edition of our popular virtual open mic series – Stand & Deliver! Open to Caribbean writers and performers at home and the diaspora, writers of all kinds and levels of experience can share their work with our audience at our 2021 Caribbean Literature Day celebrations on 12 July.
Be a part of this exciting event by submitting a video recording of yourself reading or performing a piece of original writing–whether prose, poetry, or spoken word. Videos must be no longer than 5 minutes.
Video Submission Guidelines
- Whatever file format your device records in would be fine.
- Videos should be shot in a landscape orientation on a sturdy surface.
- Good lighting and audio are essential.
- Background should be free of distractions e.g. busy kitchen countertops, cluttered desks.
- Be sure that your camera is in focus and that you’re clearly visible to your virtual audience.
- Your video must be no longer than 5 minutes. Recordings beyond that time will be cut off at the 5 minute mark.
