The 3rd NGC Bocas Youth Fest, first of its kind in Trinidad and Tobago, returns with a two-day programme on the 20th and 21st of October 2023 at the Department of Creative and Festival Arts, UWI.
The festival was founded in 2021 with the aim to make literature relevant, appealing and accessible to young people ages 13-25, nationwide.
This year’s festival is the first of its kind, a two-day expo-style programme, to be held on 20th and 21st, October 2023 at the Department of Creative and Festival Arts, UWI.
The festival features prominent young people across industries sharing their knowledge and personal experiences of how language and literature has enriched their lives and careers. Youths between the ages of 13-25 have the opportunity to learn from professionals in various careers (Business, Law, Theater, Teaching) and interact with Caribbean Literature and critical theory, while creating and performing their own work.
