Geron Ruiz is a 20 year old spoken word artist and teaching artist from Arima (big up east side). He has been performing spoken word poetry for a little over 3 years, and is currently a poet and teaching artist for the ROOTS Foundation, where he uses his talents to push and develop the spoken word community. His goal is to enhance the spoken word locally, regionally, and internationally. In addition to spoken word, Geron's other passion is music. He is currently in the process of beginning his music career very shortly, where he plans on blending influences from all over the world to produce his own, unique sound.
