Sponsored by the NGC, Page to Stage brings to life stories by lifting the words out of books and adapting them into dramatic form. With the help of teachers and acclaimed stars of TT theatre: Penelope Spencer, Cecilia Salazar and comedian Louris Lee Sing, children from several schools across the country were guided through the adaptation and performance of their scripts over the course of three months. Beginning in 2018, this culminated live on stage annually on World Children’s Day, November 20th, with eight schools performing in front of a live audience. This initiative was developed out of the annual Children’s Storytelling Caravan.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, this event could not take place in 2020 and 2021. We hope to bring back this unique project again, once the threats of the coronavirus have subsided and it is once again safe to hold in-person events.
