Elizabeth Montano

Elizabeth Montano is the author of King of Soca (2022), her debut publication.She is the manager of Xtatik Ltd., Machel Montano Foundation, and other Montano’s Group of Companies including the Montano’s Chocolate Co. Ltd. In 2018, aged 68, she graduated from the UWI with a Master of Philosophy Degree in Cultural Studies. Her thesis was The Making of MONK Monte: Creativity and Commodification in Trinidad and Tobago Popular Culture.
