Karene Asche

Karene Asche is the daughter of the late great Errol Asche is the golden child of Calypso music. In 2011, at just 26 she was only the fourth woman and the youngest ever to lift the prestigious Calypso Monarch title following in the trailblazing footsteps of her musical heroes Calypso Rose and the late Singing Sandra and Denyse Plummer. Karene topped the region to win the “Caribbean King of Kings of Calypso” competition in St Kitts in 2012. She is also the reigning Regional “Queen of Queens Monarch”, having won the Montserrat Art Council competition in both 2017 and 2019 when it was last held.
