An educator with over 10 years experience, Ms. Beckles holds a Masters in Art and Visual Culture Education from the University of Arizona. She is passionate about visual arts as a medium for expression and learning. Her work and research engage with the challenge of making visual arts accessible to all. Ms. Beckles is also a practicing artist and has participated in group and solo exhibitions both locally and abroad.

The Art of Writing is an educational company that provides in person Literacy Workshop experiences and products that are designed to help students unlock their creativity through Writing and Art Making. They use the dual power of Visual Arts and Language Arts in transforming children's relationships to literacy and most importantly their self expression.
