Dr Kumar Mahabir is an Assistant Professor at the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT). He obtained his Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Florida and his BA and M.Phil. degrees in Literatures in English from UWI, St Augustine.
Mahabir is the author of twelve (12) books including two national bestsellers Caribbean East Indian Recipes and Medicinal and Edible Plants. His most recent books have been Indian Caribbean Folklore Spirits and Traditional Medicine and Women Healers in Trinidad.
