Performer

Zachary Ransome is a ten-year-old performer who aspires to be one of the world's most noted entertainers. He started his singing career at the early age of four, when he bravely took to the stage of Fyzabad, and he has never looked back. Competing and winning under the management of his mother, his career thus far includes first place in the 12 and Under category at the Aunty Tova’s Icons of Calypso competition with his rendition of Shadow’s “Bassman” and third place in the TUCO National Junior Calypso Monarch in 2023. In 2024 he claimed second place in the National Junior Calypso Monarch, first place in the Junior Soca Monarch with his hit song “Rankatang” and is currently the three-time consecutive Eastern Credit Union’s Primary School Junior Monarch, since 2022. He also produced two Soca Parang songs, “First in the Kitchen” and “Sing Zacky Sing”, and was a part of Machel Montano’s winning performance for Calypso Monarch 2024, “Soul of Calypso”. Zachary is not only a musician but a budding actor, having performed in Best Village with the Soul Oasis Cultural Ambassadors as well as Eintou Pearl Springer’s Independence production, For the Love of Liberty, in 2022. Zachary is a Standard four student of the Montrose Government Primary School and believes that one of his duties as a performer is to encourage and motivate young artistic children like himself to express themselves in the cultural arena.
