We’re delighted to share the second monthly installment of the NGC Bocas Lit Fest’s Survival Kit, a curated package of literature, music, and art to inspire and soothe you in these unnerving times. Here you’ll find doses of humour and beauty, stories of resilience and wonder, to stimulate, console, and even provoke.
Our second Survival Kit opens with poems by 2020 OCM Bocas Prize winner Richard Georges and also includes fiction by Ingrid Persaud, Anu Lakhan, and Irma Rambaran, a poem by Adalber Salas Hernández (translated by Robin Myers), a short essay by Andre Bagoo, art from Wendy Nanan and Christopher Cozier, music from Élan Parlē, and revisits our recent tribute to the late Kamau Brathwaite.
