Join us on the cusp of December at The Writers Centre, for Not Another Christmas Market!, a Christmas market with a difference!
On Saturday, November 30th, 2019, 10 am – 4 pm, 14 Alcazar Street will come alive to seasonal cheer, as we proudly feature our handpicked lineup of favourite local crafters, makers, and creatives! Our focus is on a cozy, family-friendly feel, which is why we’re sticking to twenty-five artisans or less. This way, you get to make your end-of-year shopping selections in food, paper goods, clothing, plants, accessories, jewellery, and other bespoke products, all from the very best T&T creators.
These vendors will be ready and eager to showcase their special treats at our market (with more vendors to be announced!)

The Writers Centre, home to the Bocas Lit Fest and the 2 Cents Movement, is a close-knit artistic family, which means 14 Alcazar Street is our home. As part of welcoming you to this festive gathering, you can look forward to special giveaways, door prizes, and spoken word pop up performances!
You’ll notice we’re charging a $20 admission fee, which is at the heart of what keeps The Writers Centre running: a love for the arts in T&T, supported generously by you. Your contributions to Not Another Christmas Market! will be used to help sustain our ever-growing platform of year-round workshops, panel discussions, youth outreach initiatives, book launches, themed readings, and so much more. You may have come to know us best through our signature annual event, the NGC Bocas Lit Fest – now, experience us outside of festival time, too. It’s your support that makes all the difference to independent, small-staffed, non-corporate organizations like ours. We not only appreciate and applaud your love for reading, writing, and celebrating culture; we depend on it. So bring your Yuletide cheer to us, just before December begins. We think you’ll have a wonderful time in the space we call home.
